THE NEW WORLD CHAMPIONS ROCK'N'ROLL 2009 ARE: OLGA SBITNEVA - IVAN YUDIN RUSSIA

In  the sold out hall in Geneve we have experienced the breathtaking World Championship Rock'n'Roll 2009. The battle for the title began already in the afternoon part. It was not easy to come to the semifinal, since the level in quarter final was the highest ever!

All the finalist could consider themselves as winners. There was no place for mistakes in semifinal or final. 

The fight was really very close and at the end the couple who could combine the footwork and acrobatic round on the best possible way stepped on the highest level on the Podium. The winners of the footwork were Jade and Maurizio Mandorino (SUI), but in the acrobatic a flowless most difficult program was performed by Ingrid and Julien Foulon (FRA)

Second and third place went to Jade and Maurizio Mandorino (SUI) and Kathy Richetta - Christophe Payan (FRA)

Together with Rock'n'Roll couples our Boogie Woogie Champions were dancing for the Boogie Woogie World Cup Champion 2009.  Even without a result on the last two World Cups this years World Champions Maeva Truntzer and William Mauvais (FRA) made it sure already a month ago to win also the overall World Cup title. With 4 wins they really deserved it.

In the absence of the reigning World Champion the couple from Norway Susanne Barkhald SANDBERG - Thorbjorn Solvoll URSKOG made it to the Top the second time in two weeks.

For Main Class Rock'n'Roll and Boogie Woogie couples it was the end of the season and it finished with glamour on a very well organized event in Geneva!

On November 14, 2009 another season highlight happend in Switzerland.  Girl formations Main class danced for the World Champion title, Rock'n'Roll youth and juniors showed their skills for the European champion title. All finalists in all three categories showed great skills so the final decision was not simple. The champions are:

World Champion Girl formation Main class: KOLB DANCE  (CZE)

European Champions RR Juniors: Márk Dániel BALOG - Gabriella BALÓ (HUN)

European Champions RR Youth:  Doris Lucan - Damir Zobec (CRO) - the happiest couple this season - they won both titles!

On November 7, 2009  European Championship Rock'n'Roll Main Class and World Championship Rock'n'Roll Youth/Juniors took place in Velika Gorica Croatia. In all three categories the final result was very thight and the new Champions are:

European Champions RnR Main Class:  Katrin Gazazyan - Ivan Klimov RUS

World Champions RnR Juniors: Helena Gutnik - Jaka Juznic SLO

World Champions RnR Youth: Doris Lucan - Damir Zobec CRO



On the same time Boogie Woogie couples competed in Maribor Slovenia for the World Cup title.  It was their first visit to Slovenia and they were a part of great World Championship Latin.  The top 12 couples presented themselves live on national TV.

Maeva Truntzer and William Mauvais  from France convinced the judges and the audience that they deserve to be the reigning champions.
